I’m Sarah.

After graduating college, I worked as a TV news reporter at an NBC affiliate outside of Chicago. I then retired from that life to be a stay at home mom to my three little ones. While at home I was able to rekindle my love for decorating and crafts. A blog seemed like the perfect place to share those ideas. There is inspiration everywhere, I hope you find some here.

A few months ago I got a new camera and wanted to make it a little bit more personalized. I found this Vera Bradley purse that I decided to use as a camera case. Because the purse isn't padded like a normal camera case,  I made some fleece lined little carrying cases for my lenses.
I was looking on Etsy for a cute camera strap, but then I thought: I could make one, and I could probably do it for a lot cheaper. So I lined the back of the material with an iron on liner then sewed the two together for the strap. Then I made the little rossette to pin on the strap. It was a fun little project and a good excuse to use my sewing machine.
