I’m Sarah.

After graduating college, I worked as a TV news reporter at an NBC affiliate outside of Chicago. I then retired from that life to be a stay at home mom to my three little ones. While at home I was able to rekindle my love for decorating and crafts. A blog seemed like the perfect place to share those ideas. There is inspiration everywhere, I hope you find some here.

This lemon ice is one of our favorite treats and it's so easy to make.
Boil 3 cups of water with 1 cup of sugar. In the meantime mix the zest of 1 lemon with 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice. I usually can get a half a cup with 2 lemons, if I need more to equal 1/2 cup, I add store bought lemon juice. After the sugar water reaches boiling, remove from heat and combine the lemon juice with the sugar water in a shallow metal pan. I use a round cake pan. Put it in the freezer and stir every half hour for a few hours. This part is crucial because if you forget to stir it, it will just be one huge lemon flavored ice cube.
