I’m Sarah.

After graduating college, I worked as a TV news reporter at an NBC affiliate outside of Chicago. I then retired from that life to be a stay at home mom to my three little ones. While at home I was able to rekindle my love for decorating and crafts. A blog seemed like the perfect place to share those ideas. There is inspiration everywhere, I hope you find some here.

Today is my mom's birthday and for her birthday I made these photo books. It actually was a very easy project. What I did was buy a hard cover little photo book (I think they are about 5x7 inches) from Target and then found some material I liked. I stretched the fabric over the book and then just hot glued it to the inside of the cover. Then I hot glued the ribbon around the outside of the book and also hot glued a ribbon on the inside to cover up the fabric edges.

I had some left over scrapbook labels that I used for the kids keepsake boxes. I printed off the kids names and then glued the name label to the front of the book. Inside each book I put pictures of the kids with my parents and just other random pictures from birthdays and other milestones.

She seemed pretty happy about the books. I mean what grandma wouldn't love a photo book full of pictures of her grandchild :)
