I’m Sarah.

After graduating college, I worked as a TV news reporter at an NBC affiliate outside of Chicago. I then retired from that life to be a stay at home mom to my three little ones. While at home I was able to rekindle my love for decorating and crafts. A blog seemed like the perfect place to share those ideas. There is inspiration everywhere, I hope you find some here.

millions of peaches

My neighbors went to southern Illinois and brought us back a huge box of peaches. I was immediately overwhelmed because my mom, sister and her fiance were in town and I thought how am I going to do something with these peaches before they all go bad. But my wonderful mother said she would can them for me. And since she did it all the time when I was a kid, she's a pro.
So now we have several jars of beautiful, yummy peaches. It is the first of our canning for the season. I will definitely make some applesauce again, but we didn't get very many banana peppers or tomatoes from our garden, for my canned peach salsa or spaghetti sauce... so we'll have to see if it's just the applesauce. But honestly with three kids running around, that may be all I can handle

{Park kept getting the peaches out of the box and eating a little bit and then leaving the rest behind. I found so many half eaten peaches all over throughout the day}
