I’m Sarah.

After graduating college, I worked as a TV news reporter at an NBC affiliate outside of Chicago. I then retired from that life to be a stay at home mom to my three little ones. While at home I was able to rekindle my love for decorating and crafts. A blog seemed like the perfect place to share those ideas. There is inspiration everywhere, I hope you find some here.

Recently I went through my storage boxes and brought out all of my winter clothes. As with every year, I find sweaters that I haven't worn in a few years and I bring them out to sit in my closet for yet another winter, un worn, then in the spring they will go back in the storage box until the next year. Well... this year I put a stop to the cycle. But instead of just giving away all of my un used sweaters, I thought I would recycle them in to something else.

So my first up cycle is leg warmers. It was so easy, just two cuts and done! And then you can have an automatic short sleeve sweater :)

 {p.s. I love my street}

I also made some black leg warmers and grey ones. I wanted a light grey but just couldn't part with one of my light grey sweaters yet, so I found one at a thrift store for $2. I also saw a pattern online for how to turn a sweater in to a baby girl dress, so that will be my next sweater up cycle. And is it possible to create a baby sweater out of a normal sized sweater?... I will find out and let you know.

{my outfit: Jacket-H&M fall 2011, Jeans-American Eagle, boots-American Eagle, leg warmers-made by me of course}
