I’m Sarah.

After graduating college, I worked as a TV news reporter at an NBC affiliate outside of Chicago. I then retired from that life to be a stay at home mom to my three little ones. While at home I was able to rekindle my love for decorating and crafts. A blog seemed like the perfect place to share those ideas. There is inspiration everywhere, I hope you find some here.

Here are some macro pictures I took using a fotodiox, and also the macro setting on my camera. The fotodiox is a cheap little accessory (only $6, at least this one was... you can buy more expensive ones). This type of fotodiox is called a lens mount adapter. It's kind of weird because you have to put your lens on backwards... but it's a fun little thing to play with. I would definitely recommend it as an accessory for your camera bag. I am looking forward to some warmer weather so that I can take more pictures with my fotodiox outside. You have to make sure you have good lighting in order to use one. For these pictures I set my bouquet of roses right in front of the window.
