I’m Sarah.

After graduating college, I worked as a TV news reporter at an NBC affiliate outside of Chicago. I then retired from that life to be a stay at home mom to my three little ones. While at home I was able to rekindle my love for decorating and crafts. A blog seemed like the perfect place to share those ideas. There is inspiration everywhere, I hope you find some here.

With all of my i-top supplies I received, I got some magnets. I made the magnets with some fabric that matches Elly's room and then was thinking of a creative way to display the magnets. I think customized magnets would look cool just about anywhere, but I wanted to think of something other than just the refrigerator. I was in my craft room and saw some leftover chicken wire and saw some old frames laying nearby so thought I would give this a try.

I used the i-top to make the magnets, here is the tutorial on how to use the i-top.
To make the frame:
I took out the glass of an old picture frame and painted it white. After it dried, I sanded it down to give it a well worn look. I cut some chicken wire to fit inside the frame and hot glued it to the back. It was very similar to this vintage hair bow holder I made for Elly.
I cut some little pieces of paper and used some of my stamps to write little messages. And that's it!
