Before grilling season is over, I am making sure to cook as much on the grill as possible. Here are three combinations of hot dogs that we tried the other night. We had some friends over for dinner and I set up a little hot dog bar with there different midwestern hot dog recipes.
The Ohioana: Add some spicy corn salsa to the top of the hot dog. For the corn salsa, I added fresh corn slightly cooked, diced red onion, diced red pepper, diced tomato, dash of chili powder, dash or celery salt, salt pepper, and some fresh lime juice.
Wichita's Dog: Add some shredded cheddar cheese, chili, onion, and sliced dills to your hot dog.
Chicago style: Add tomato, sweet relish, dill spears, mustard, and sliced hot peppers to your hot dog.
