I’m Sarah.

After graduating college, I worked as a TV news reporter at an NBC affiliate outside of Chicago. I then retired from that life to be a stay at home mom to my three little ones. While at home I was able to rekindle my love for decorating and crafts. A blog seemed like the perfect place to share those ideas. There is inspiration everywhere, I hope you find some here.

POM POM GARLAND

POM POM GARLAND

After I finished the living room, I moved to Elly's room. Today I want to share the first of a couple projects I did in her room. I just love these little pom pom garlands. When I repainted her room, I decided to make some garland to add some bright colors. They are so easy to make too.

to make:
Wrap yarn around your fingers about 30 times. Slide it off your fingers. Tie a single piece of yarn around the rolled yarn. Cut all of the loops free in step 6. Then trim the little fuzz ball to get an even pom pom like in step 8.

Then use a needle and thread to string the pom poms and make the garland.

I also hung garland above each of the windows.
