I’m Sarah.

After graduating college, I worked as a TV news reporter at an NBC affiliate outside of Chicago. I then retired from that life to be a stay at home mom to my three little ones. While at home I was able to rekindle my love for decorating and crafts. A blog seemed like the perfect place to share those ideas. There is inspiration everywhere, I hope you find some here.

THRIFT STORE CHANDELIER MAKEOVER

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I was on the hunt for a chandelier from a thrift store. I knew exactly what I wanted and was so happy when I found it for only $10! The Habitat for Humanity's ReStore is a great place to find old home fixtures- that is my go to place for things like this. I cleaned off the chandelier and covered the light sockets with tape and then spray painted it aqua. My husband took out all of the links but one, because this one came with a bunch of links. Elly's room is so much brighter now with the chandelier.
