I’m Sarah.

After graduating college, I worked as a TV news reporter at an NBC affiliate outside of Chicago. I then retired from that life to be a stay at home mom to my three little ones. While at home I was able to rekindle my love for decorating and crafts. A blog seemed like the perfect place to share those ideas. There is inspiration everywhere, I hope you find some here.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Brownies

Peanut Butter Chocolate Brownies

Oh I just love brownies and love adding different goodies in them. This time it was peanut butter. You really can't go wrong with a peanut butter and chocolate combination. This is an easy way to elevate normal brownies to make them to a really special treat.

1/4 cup butter (melted)
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 cup Sweet Mercy Chocolate Baking Mix
1/4 to 1/3 cup water
1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup peanut butter

Optional:
Reese's cups minis
Whipping cream or ice cream
Peanut butter chocolate hot fudge (recipe below)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 x 8 pan. Mix all of the ingredients (except for the chocolate chips and peanut butter) in a medium sized bowl. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour in to prepared pan. Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter on top of the brownies. Use a knife and run it through the brownies back and forth about 4 times to mix the peanut butter in the brownies. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

I topped the brownies with homemade heavy whipping cream that I put in the freezer so that it was more like an ice cream consistency. I also added some Reese's cups minis.
